The Role
As a Greenspace Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks to ensure our sites are maintained to the highest standards.
You will work as part of a team across multiple locations, helping to deliver excellent service to our clients while maintaining safe and attractive outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Grass cutting, strimming and hedge maintenance.
- Shrub, flower bed and seasonal planting maintenance.
- Weed control and site tidiness.
- Tree and vegetation management where required.
- Soft landscaping and improvement works.
- Safe operation of grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
- Ensuring all work is completed to agreed quality standards.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Reporting any site issues, damage or hazards.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet work schedules and client expectations.
About You
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking individual who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering high standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
✔ Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture or a similar outdoor environment.
✔ Experience using grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters.
✔ Ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
✔ Good communication and customer service skills.
✔ Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
✔ Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
✔ Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
- Relevant horticultural or landscaping qualifications.
- Experience working on commercial or local authority contracts.
- Trailer towing experience.
- First Aid qualification.
