We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Qualified Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and finishing according to breed standards or customer preferences.
- Assess each dog’s health and behaviour to ensure safe handling and grooming procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools and work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare advice.
- Handle dogs safely, employing gentle restraint techniques while minimising stress for the animals.
- Assist with the care and wellbeing of animals, including feeding, walking, or administering medication if required.
- Keep accurate records of treatments provided and any special instructions from pet owners.
Skills
- Proven experience in dog grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific styles and grooming techniques.
- Veterinary experience or background in animal care is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals, with patience and calmness during grooming procedures.
- Organised approach to managing appointments, equipment, and record keeping.
