Overview
We are seeking a friendly Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation and food safety, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will also assist with cafe duties and resetting our play areas in-between play sessions.
Duties
- Prepare and cook toasties, soups, sandwiches and lite bites according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a cafe/catering setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
