Overview
We're looking for one part time Barista to join us at Beer & Bean.
The role of the Barista will be to open the cafe each morning, dial in the coffee machine, put cakes and pastries out and to serve customers. This role does include working alone.
Previous barista experience is preferred, though training can be given to the right candidate.
It would be 2 shifts per week 8:30am-2pm. Starting date is in the next couple of weeks.
Responsibilities
- To be the key holder, and to open the cafe in the morning.
- Dial in the coffee machine ready for the day.
- Put out cakes and pastries and to write these on the display/board.
- Maintain cleanliness on the bar throughout the week.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
Skills
- Previous Barista experience is preferable.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
- Can work well under pressure during busy periods.
- Happy working alone and as part of a team.
