Job Description
King's Greenford Dental Practice invites applications from associate dentists to join our team. This position will suit a practitioner seeking a stable, well-supported role in which to develop, or an associate who values a practice built on diligence, learning and integrity. We particularly encourage applications from newly qualified and early-career dentists who are looking for structured mentoring as they develop the confidence and clinical judgement to work independently.
The practice has recently undergone refurbishment. Our four treatment rooms are spacious, well-lit and air-conditioned. This is a strong opportunity to join an experienced team with an established reputation for high standards of care and clear, professional communication.

Applicants must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and hold appropriate professional indemnity cover. Applicants must also have an active performer number, a valid enhanced DBS disclosure, a full immunisation record, and must provide details of two clinical referees. All clinical work is expected to be carried out in accordance with GDC Standards for the Dental Team, including working within the limits of one's training and competence, obtaining valid consent, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Profile
The practice is committed to supporting each associate's professional development in line with GDC expectations around continuing professional development and safe, patient-centred care. We value team engagement, continual improvement and educational development, and we aim to provide an environment in which associates — particularly those earlier in their careers — can build the clinical confidence, judgement and independence expected of a registered dental professional. Associates will treat a diverse patient base and contribute to care within a primary care setting that serves a broad range of socio-demographic backgrounds. The practice generates approximately 50% of its revenue from private fee-per-item work and 50% through NHS General Dental Services. The practice has good public transport links, and on-site parking is available.
Nurses
Associates are supported by dental nurses trained in clinical photography, intra-oral scanning, Invisalign, implants and composite bonding. The clinical team works collaboratively to manage cases efficiently and to maintain a well-organised working environment. Associates will work with the full nursing team, benefiting from a range of experience and skill mix.
Reception
The reception team manages the appointment diary to suit each associate's working style, and is experienced in assessing and triaging complications promptly. This structure is intended to support a stable, efficient clinical day and to allow associates to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making.
Principal Support and Mentoring
The principal has 20 years of clinical experience as a General Dental Practitioner, Foundation Trainer and Clinical Teacher in Oral Surgery, is an experienced Invisalign provider, holds an MSc in Implant Dentistry, and has additional training in restorative dentistry, leadership, management and mentoring. Mentoring is provided on an individual basis, with the explicit aim of supporting associates to develop sound clinical reasoning and the ability to manage cases independently and safely. Clinical queries can be raised as they arise, and the principal is available to advise, discuss treatment planning, or provide direct clinical support where a case exceeds an associate's current scope of practice — consistent with the GDC's expectations around working within one's competence. The intention throughout is to build associates' independent problem-solving ability over time, rather than create long-term reliance.
Opportunities
The practice contributes to community oral health education, and associates are encouraged to participate in patient advice and preventive care initiatives consistent with their scope of practice. Early-career associates are supported in taking on appropriate additional responsibilities as their competence and confidence develop.
Development
Associates receive structured support for personal and professional development, including guidance on continuing professional development (CPD) in line with GDC requirements. The practice offers a performance-related bonus and recognises long-term development and retention. Associates are encouraged, where appropriate to their experience, to take on community-facing initiatives such as oral health education in local schools, providing a further avenue for professional growth. The practice supports a positive working culture and a reasonable work-life balance.
Support and Training
Associates attend regular meetings with the management team to review personal, professional and financial progress, and are encouraged to engage with aspects of the practice's operational management as appropriate. Clinical support remains available from experienced clinicians, and associates are supported in attending external courses to develop their clinical skills further.
Career Progression
The practice maintains relationships with educational providers to support associates' career pathways, and values the acquisition of new clinical skills as part of long-term retention and development. Structured systems and mentoring relationships are in place to help associates refine their clinical technique and working style over time. The practice maintains relationships with industry contacts that support ongoing professional development, with the aim of achieving good outcomes for associates and for the practice as a whole, within a supportive and professionally rigorous working environment.
