Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, including portion control, presentation, and consistency
- Oversee food safety practices and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and menu items
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Assist in training new staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to minimise waste
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a busy culinary environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Exceptional culinary skills with an eye for detail in presentation
