Wirral Hospice St John's provides FREE care for adult patients with life-limiting illnesses. We also support carers and loved ones; families are at the heart of everything we do.
Although some NHS funding is received, the majority of our income is donated by individuals, families, groups, companies and charitable trusts. Every penny counts and helps us to make a real difference to the specialist care and support we provide for our patients and their loved ones.
We are looking for a flexible, punctual, reliable, and committed individual to join our Domestic team by providing additional cover at times of need. This may occasionally be at short notice.
You will work under the supervision of the Domestic Team Leader and Support Services Manager, maintaining a clean, tidy and safe environment within the Hospice site which will include both clinical and non-clinical areas.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent team working, interpersonal skills, and have an understanding of clinical hygiene and Health and Safety knowledge in a clinical environment.
A qualification and/or a good awareness of Health and Safety Legislation would be preferred.
The shift times are generally between 7 am and 8 pm on a rota basis from Monday-Sunday. As such we require availability to include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
