We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Fitter/Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair, providing essential services to our valued customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting tyres, performing vehicle repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through professional service delivery.
Duties
- Remove and replace tyres on a variety of vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools
- Conduct tyre inspections to identify damage or wear, recommending replacements or repairs as necessary
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including brake checks, wheel alignments, and suspension assessments
- Use specialised equipment to balance tyres and ensure proper fitment
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts utilised
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or vehicle maintenance preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres or vehicle components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple jobs efficiently
- Customer service skills to assist clients courteously and professionally
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects
- Relevant experience or qualifications in automotive repair or mechanics is advantageous but not essential
