Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality service
- Support food safety protocols by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Help supervise junior team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Participate in food production processes, including ingredient handling, portioning, and plating
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of hospitality by serving guests with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Aid in managing kitchen operations during busy periods, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety regulations
- Support team management efforts by communicating effectively with colleagues and assisting in training new staff members
Skills
- Previous experience in food production or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated supervising or team management experience in hospitality or culinary environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and leadership
- Basic culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices
- Familiarity with hospitality service standards such as serving guests professionally and courteously
Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year
