Senior Software Test EngineerMake Quality a Competitive Advantage
Join a growing technology environment where quality engineering is part of how great products are built — not simply the final step before release.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to take ownership of automation, testing strategy, and quality improvement across modern software products. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, DevOps engineers, and technical leaders to identify risks early, automate intelligently, and help teams release with confidence.
This is a strong opportunity to gain wider technical exposure, influence engineering standards, and build toward Test Architect, Quality Engineering Lead, or Engineering leadership.
Where You'll Make an Impact
- Build and enhance automated testing frameworks for web, API, and enterprise applications.
- Develop functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test automation.
- Use Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or comparable frameworks.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Work alongside developers to identify defects early and improve product quality.
- Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Investigate test failures, production issues, and complex technical defects.
- Create practical test strategies for new products, features, and releases.
- Support performance, reliability, and scalability testing where required.
- Contribute to shift-left testing, continuous testing, and quality engineering practices.
- Participate in Agile planning, technical discussions, reviews, and release activities.
- Mentor engineers and help strengthen automation and testing standards.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or comparable tools.
- Programming or scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
- Strong API testing and web application testing experience.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, shift-left testing, and continuous quality practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- ISTQB or comparable testing certification is advantageous.
- Experience with performance or security testing is beneficial.
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Your Next Step
Bring your testing expertise into a role where you can influence quality, work with modern technology, and grow with the business. If you’re ready to take greater ownership of engineering quality, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
