Shape the future of cyber security at MAB
We're looking for a Cyber Security Manager who combines technical cyber expertise with exceptional leadership skills.
This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing Cyber Operations team, influence senior stakeholders and shape the future direction and maturity of cyber security across MAB. You'll be the type of leader who can step into a major incident when needed, provide clear direction during challenging situations and inspire your team to continuously raise the bar. You'll lead the day-to-day operation and development of our Cyber Operations capability, ensuring robust security monitoring, threat detection and incident management across the organisation.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have helped strengthen cyber capability, improve operational maturity, or driven positive change within complex and regulated environments.
What You'll Be Doing
-
Lead, coach and develop a team of cyber security professionals, supporting the Group Head of Information Security to build a high-performing team and continuous improvement culture.
-
Take ownership of cyber security incidents, providing leadership and direction through investigation, containment, recovery and post-incident review activities.
-
Act as a senior escalation point for complex cyber security events and operational issues.
-
Work closely with senior stakeholders and team leaders, translating technical risks into clear business-focused recommendations.
-
Support delivery of the Information Security strategy and contribute to the ongoing evolution of MAB's cyber security capability.
-
Oversee the performance of our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), using KPIs and KRIs to drive accountability and service excellence.
-
Enhance detection and response capabilities through the development of use cases, playbooks, processes and tooling.
-
Identify opportunities to improve cyber resilience, operational effectiveness and security maturity across the organisation.
About You
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
-
Proven experience leading and developing technical cyber security teams.
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels of the organisation.
-
Experience managing and coordinating cyber security incidents in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
-
Hands-on knowledge of cyber operations, including threat detection, threat hunting, incident response and security monitoring.
-
The confidence to challenge, influence and support senior business stakeholders.
-
Experience operating within regulated industries or organisations with complex governance requirements.
-
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to strengthen cyber security maturity and team performance.
It would be great if you also have:
-
Experience helping an organisation improve or transform its cyber security maturity.
-

-
Relevant cyber security certifications.
