We’re now looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our growing team across the Nottingham region.
In this role, you’ll work at the forefront of renewable technology—installing, maintaining, and supporting Solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage systems. You’ll play a key part in keeping our customers’ systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably, while delivering a professional and friendly on-site experience.

Please note:
Solar experience and qualifications are desirable but not essential for this role. However, candidates must have strong, hands‑on electrical experience. We’re keen to speak with capable electrical engineers who are open to developing their skills in renewables. Training and support can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the performance, safety, & quality of our renewable energy installations while delivering exceptional onsite service.
- Carry out planned servicing, reactive maintenance & fault finding on Solar PV, EV chargers, and battery systems
- Diagnose issues and deliver effective, long-lasting repairs
- Test, commission, and verify systems to ensure performance and compliance
- Work safely, following all electrical and H&S standards
- Provide a professional, customer-first service on-site
- Complete job reports and documentation accurately
- Spot recurring issues and suggest improvements
- Work independently in the field while staying connected with the wider team
Skills & Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- AM2 Certificate (Gold Card)
- Solar PV qualification - Desirable
- Proven experience in a field service, engineering, or renewable energy role
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence < 6 points
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices
