We are currently recruiting Social Care Support Workers (Band 3 and 4)
Location: Western Health & Social Care Trust area (including Londonderry, Strabane, Omagh and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, and block bookings available.
Settings include:
- Day Centres: Engaging service users in therapeutic, social, and recreational activities
- Supported Living Schemes: Assisting individuals to live independently within their own homes and local communities
- Social Work Teams: Providing practical, community-based support to families and individuals under the guidance of social work professionals

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care (bathing, hygiene, continence support)
- Promote dignity, independence, and respect for all service users
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
- Monitor and record observations, updating care records accurately
- Support service users with nutrition and daily living activities
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Work collaboratively to deliver person-centred care

Essential Criteria
- Minimum 6 months paid UK healthcare experience
- Must be resident in Northern Ireland
- Registered with NISCC (or willing to apply)
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and updates
- Ability to pass an Enhanced Access NI check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience / Qualifications / Registration (One Required)
- NVQ/QCF/VRQ/RQF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care + 6 months paid experience delivering direct care OR
- 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English (or equivalent/higher) + 6 months paid experience OR
- 2 years paid experience delivering direct care in a care environment
Additional Requirements
- Must hold or be willing to obtain NISCC registration on appointment
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (reasonable adjustments apply where appropriate)
