Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Painter / Powder Coater to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint and powder coating finishes to various commercial and industrial products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and experience in construction painting or related fields. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to safety regulations and client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primer, paint, or powder coating using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or specialised equipment
- Ensure colour matching and finish quality meet company standards and client expectations
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining proper handling of tools and materials
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues encountered
- Maintain organisation of tools, supplies, and work areas to promote efficiency and safety
Experience
- Previous experience in construction painting or powder coating is highly desirable
- Good command of English language for clear communication on-site
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting and coating operations
