We are seeking friendly, professional, and highly organised Bank Medical Receptionists to join our Front of House team on a flexible, as-needed basis.
In this role, you will provide a high-quality, patient-focused service to our patients, consultants, and visitors across reception, registration, booking, and cashiering areas.
You will be responsible for creating a warm and professional first impression, ensuring patients receive excellent service throughout their visit. The role combines customer service, administration, appointment coordination, and financial processing within a fast-paced private healthcare environment.
You will work closely with consultants, clinical teams, and internal departments to ensure patients receive a smooth and efficient experience from arrival through to completion of their visit.

Previous experience working in a receptionist, front-of-house, hospitality, customer service, or administration role
- Experience within a private hospital, healthcare, 4*/5* hotel, or corporate front-of-house environment is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional telephone manner and confidence dealing with patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Calm, methodical, and able to work effectively under pressure
- Professional appearance and a patient-focused approach
- Flexible and reliable approach to working bank shifts

Welcoming patients, visitors, and consultants in a professional and friendly manner
- Managing patient registration, bookings, and reception enquiries
- Using medical systems to update patient records, appointments, billing information, and payments
- Supporting patients with payment arrangements and required documentation
- Processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and completing end-of-day cashiering activities
- Supporting insurance and third-party payment processes, including obtaining required authorisations where needed
- Coordinating patient journeys to ensure appointments run smoothly and delays are minimised
- Supporting taxi and courier arrangements for patients, visitors, consultants, and colleagues
- Maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming reception and waiting areas
- Responding professionally to patient queries, concerns, and feedback
- Working collaboratively with Front of House colleagues and wider clinical teams

Experience working within a medical reception or healthcare administration environment
- Experience using healthcare systems such as MEDITECH, OnBase, or similar systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient administration processes
- Experience supporting vulnerable patients or handling sensitive situations
- First aid training
- Customer service qualifications
- Additional language skills
