The Murmur is a brand-new specialty coffee and tea house launching across two locations — a relaunch in Cardiff and a second site in the Vale of Glamorgan. We're building a passionate, energetic team and want you to be part of it.

ROLES AVAILABLE
- Baristas — craft quality coffee; full training given, no experience needed
- Waiting Staff — warm, attentive front-of-house service; no experience needed
- Bar Staff — serve drinks with pace and personality (18+, experience preferred)
- Supervisors — lead shifts and support the team (experience required)
- Events Managers — plan and run our creative events (experience and/or qualifications required)
A NOTE ON EXPERIENCE
Many of our roles need no experience — we train, you grow. However, Bar, Supervisor, and Events Manager positions require relevant experience and, where applicable, qualifications (e.g. personal licence, food safety certification, or prior management experience). Tell us what you bring in your application.
Contract: Zero-hour / minimum-hours — we work around YOUR schedule.
Applicants must be 16+. Alcohol service roles require 18+. All roles subject to a right-to-work check.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine love of hospitality
- Reliability and punctuality — every shift matters in a small team
- Willingness to learn — full training on everything from coffee craft to food hygiene
- Great communication and a friendly, welcoming personality
- Availability for weekends and some evenings (flexible around studies)
- An interest in coffee, tea, art, or food — a bonus, not essential

ABOUT THE MURMUR
More than a coffee shop, a community space where specialty coffee meets creativity. We serve premium loose-leaf teas, own-brand roasted coffee, full breakfast and lunch menus, smoothies, milkshakes, hot chocolates, and a curated grab-and-go range. We're committed to locally sourced ingredients and fully compostable, recyclable packaging. Expect rotating exhibitions, live creative sessions, and a space that inspires.
