The Role
This is a Sales Operations position with full accountability for branch performance.
You will take ownership of the front-end of the Hitchin branch, managing the entire customer journey from initial enquiry through to install readiness.
This includes:
- Converting leads into appointments
- Attending home visits and securing orders
- Completing accurate surveys
- Preparing installations for delivery
- Driving consistent branch performance
In addition to centrally generated leads, you will also be responsible for developing local opportunities and building your own pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Journey
- Manage enquiries from first contact through to confirmed order
- Build trust and rapport with customers, particularly older and vulnerable individuals
- Deliver a professional, clear, and supportive experience
Sales Delivery
- Convert leads into high-quality appointments
- Attend customer home visits
- Recommend appropriate solutions based on need
- Close sales with confidence and integrity
Survey & Installation Readiness
- Accurately measure and capture all requirements
- Take full responsibility for preparing each installation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and right-first-time delivery.
- Work closely with installation teams to support successful delivery
Business Development
- Build awareness within the local Hitchin area
- Generate additional leads through networking, referrals, and community engagement
- Take ownership of your pipeline alongside marketing activity
Showroom & Branch Management
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the showroom
- Convert showroom walk-in traffic into appointments
- Maintain a professional and welcoming environment at all times
Performance & Pipeline
- Maintain accurate systems and records using our in house CRM
- Ensure consistent follow-up and clear next steps
- Drive appointment and order conversion performance
About You
You will be:
- Experienced in a sales-led, customer-facing role
- Confident working in customers’ homes
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage surveys and specifications accurately
- Commercially focused, with a track record of converting opportunities into sales
- Proactive in generating business, not solely reliant on inbound leads
Experience in mobility or accessible bathrooms would be advantageous, although not essential.
You will also demonstrate:
- A strong sense of ownership
- The ability to balance customer care with performance delivery
- A professional and structured approach to your work
What We Offer
- £30,000 basic salary
- Car allowance
- Realistic OTE £60,000 (uncapped, performance-based)
