The Role
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and organised Lead Dental Nurse to join our friendly team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career and help lead our nursing team while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, compliance and clinical support.
As Lead Dental Nurse you will work closely with the Practice Manager and clinicians to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support and motivate the dental nursing team.
- Ensure compliance with CQC, HTM 01-05, infection prevention and practice policies.
- Oversee surgery preparation and clinical standards.
- Support the induction, training and development of new team members.
- Carry out regular audits and maintain compliance records.
- Monitor stock levels and equipment maintenance.
- Provide chairside support across a range of treatments.
- Promote a positive, supportive and professional team culture.
- Assist the management team with continuous improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- GDC registered Dental Nurse.
- Previous experience within a busy dental practice.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead by example and support colleagues.
- A proactive, positive and professional attitude.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Lead or Senior Dental Nurse.
- Post-registration qualifications (Radiography, Oral Health Education, Sedation, etc.).
- Knowledge of CareStack (or similar dental software).

If you haven't yet completed any post-registration qualifications, we'll fully fund your training and review your pay as you develop your skills.
