RC Motorhomes Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant CAD/CNC Machine Operator to join our team at our factory/workshop in Ivybridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical outlook who is keen work within a busy manufacturing environment. Previous CNC or CAD experience is not essential, although experience working in a factory, workshop or similar practical environment would be advantageous.
The Role
Working as part of our production team, you will assist with the day-to-day operation and upkeep of our two CNC router machines, as well as supporting our designer and wider workshop team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating CNC router machines safely and efficiently.
- Preparing and cleaning the CNC machines.
- Ensuring materials are prepared, organised and looked after correctly.
- Removing waste and maintaining a clean and tidy working area.
- Assisting the designer with production requirements.
- Supporting the wider workshop team as required.
- Following company procedures and maintaining high standards of health, safety and workmanship.
- Learning and developing your knowledge of CNC machinery and manufacturing processes.
Training will be provided where required, making this a great opportunity for someone who is practical, motivated and willing to learn.

Previous experience in a factory, workshop or manufacturing environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Knowledge or experience of CAD software is not required, although an interest in CAD, CNC or design/manufacturing would be beneficial.
Requirements
- UK driving licence.
- Basic Maths and English skills at GCSE or equivalent level.
- Good attention to detail.
- A willingness to follow instructions and work safely.

- Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–5:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am–1:00pm
- £16.00 per hour (paid weekly)
