EPUT is seeking two dynamic and experienced Finance Business Partners – Capital Accountants to join the Finance Directorate. These pivotal roles offer an exciting opportunity to support the management of the Trust’s capital programme and contribute to the modernisation of healthcare delivery.
The successful candidates will work closely with Estates, Digital and clinical budget holders to support the effective delivery of the Trust capital programmes, including the Estates Strategy, Unified Electronic Patient Record Programme (UEPR), and other strategic capital developments.
Key responsibilities include managing the fixed asset register, asset capitalisation, depreciation, disposals and lease accounting, alongside capital month-end and internal and external reporting.
Maintain the integrity of the capital financial systems within the Trust, to develop financial policies and practices as required, and liaise with external and internal audit and counter-fraud.
You will lead capital month-end reporting, delivering timely and accurate reports, and manage internal and external reporting of capital financials.
Maintain an accurate and up to date asset register, monitor expenditure on all capital schemes, manage depreciation journals and reconcile the asset register on a regular basis.
Managing reports on the capital costs associated with the implementation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme.
Support implementation of the Trust's estate strategy to achieve current and future operational goals.
To support the Head of Finance – Capital & Strategy to ensure that the financial and other systems of the Trust meet all statutory requirements, through the development and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures (including Standing Financial Instructions) and through appropriate audit and control.
Your strong analytical skills will be crucial in optimising capital investments.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
