Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, maintaining a secure environment, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle potentially challenging situations with professionalism. All applicants will be paid for their work and must possess the necessary licences and certifications to perform the role effectively.
Your duties will take place in venues across the North East which is rich in culture and diversity, in order to communicate in these settings it is essential that your English speaking and understanding is fluent. It is not essential for you to speak other languages, but this would be a bonus, as well as other types of communication skills such as BSL, ability to read body language and other non-verbal forms of communication.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the venue or premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised activities.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures in a courteous yet firm manner.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and answering queries professionally.
Requirements
- Valid and current security licence or certification recognised within the UK.
- Experience in loss prevention, or security operations is desirable.
- First aid certification is highly advantageous.
- Strong observational skills with an attentive eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse situations calmly.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle challenging scenarios professionally.
- Physically fit with the capacity to stand for extended periods and perform patrols around the premises.
- A responsible attitude with a commitment to maintaining a safe environment at all times.
