Due to a recent upturn in order levels we have this position available on our dayshift. This is a permanent position working a 5 day 39 hour week.
The role involves working in our inspection department undertaking both first off and audit inspection on predominately machined components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme and operate CMM equipment, Axiom, Azimuth, Extol, Baty.
- Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspection of precision aerospace components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Produce and review inspection reports and FAIR documentation (AS9102).
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to drive improvements.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer aerospace standards.
- Maintain calibration and traceability requirements.
- Assist with audits and continuous improvement activities.
The Ideal Person:
To be considered for this role you will have
- a keen eye for detail
- CMM experience essential
- previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- sound knowledge of inspection equipment
- good computer & IT skills
- ability to pick up new tasks quickly and high level of skills retention
- works well in a team
