ABOUT THE ROLE
Morrab Surgery is seeking a kind and dependable Salaried GP to join our friendly, experienced team in the heart of Penzance.
This is a permanent role offering six sessions per week. We also welcome applications from two GPs looking for fewer sessions where their availability meets the needs of the practice.
We offer 15-minute routine appointments, protected administration and pathology time and a maximum of 15 appointments per session. Clinical and administrative responsibilities will be shared fairly and proportionately according to the number of sessions worked.
There may also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to explore future partnership.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations
- Assess and manage acute illness, long-term conditions and undifferentiated presentations
- Prescribe safely and undertake appropriate medicines management
- Review test results, investigations and clinical correspondence
- Make referrals and develop appropriate care plans
- Contribute fairly to duty doctor arrangements and clinically necessary home visits
- Maintain clear, accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
- Participate in clinical and multidisciplinary meetings
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and practice development
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice, Primary Care Network and community teams

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Applicants must:
- Hold full GMC registration with a current licence to practise
- Be included on the GMC GP Register
- Be included, or eligible for inclusion, on the NHS England Medical Performers List
- Hold appropriate medical indemnity
- Be committed to safe, compassionate and patient-centred care
- Work positively and collaboratively with the wider practice team
- Maintain appropriate continuing professional development, appraisal and revalidation

Our surgery is based in an attractive historic building opposite Morrab Gardens and a short walk from Penzance seafront.
Mount’s Bay, St Michael’s Mount, beautiful beaches, coastal villages and the South West Coast Path are all nearby. West Cornwall offers welcoming communities, outstanding scenery, arts and cultural venues and excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, sailing, surfing and sea swimming.
