Build the operation behind the fit
Athena Surfaces is one of the UK’s fastest-growing stone worksurface fabricators and installers, supplying and fitting premium worktops for housebuilders and retail kitchens nationwide. We’re scaling hard and building a business that runs on standards, data and tight operations — and we’re looking for a Head of Installations and Planning to own the engine behind it.
The role
A senior level appointment reporting directly to the Managing Director. You’ll take full ownership of installations and planning as a system: the commercials, the budgets, the subcontractor relationships, the planning and logistics, and the standards that make quality repeatable. This is for someone who loves bringing order, control and commercial discipline to a fast-moving operation — and who wants to build and shape a function, not just keep one ticking over.
What you’ll own
- The commercial and contractual relationship with our housebuilder and retail clients — rates, SLAs, performance.
- The subcontractor commercial framework — agreements, rates, self-billing, chargebacks and dispute handling.
- The installation cost-vs-budget line — spend control and cost recovery.
- Installation planning, levelling and logistics, with those teams reporting to you.
- The installation standards and Right-First-Time framework — documented, measured and enforced.
What we’re looking for
- Commercial and contract nous — you’ve owned budgets, rates and client or subcontractor commercials.
- A background in installation, construction, fit-out, manufacturing or a comparable operational environment.
- Confidence with planning, logistics and running a function on numbers and KPIs.
- A credible leader who sets standards and holds people to them.
- Stone, worktops, KBB or housebuilder experience is a bonus, not a must.
