I am a retired professional living in Castle Douglas. I enjoy knitting, embroidery, crosswords, sudoku, quiz programmes, reading, and writing about my life.
What I require
Someone to join a small team of personal assistants supporting me at home. I use a wheelchair and need support with personal care, meals, getting up, and going to bed. A hoist and stand aid are used, and training can be arranged if needed.
Key benefits:
- £16.50 per hour if employed by me
- Self-employed applicants may apply £17.50 per hour
- Meaningful work in a home environment
- Mileage paid for travel over 10 miles from Castle Douglas
Hours
- Morning visits 8am to 9am may need extended on occasion to 10am
- Evening visits 10pm to 11pm
- Cover occasionally needed for holidays
- PVG membership is required.
- Holidays 5.6 weeks pro rata
Qualities you need
- Understanding of confidentiality
- Willing to learn new procedures
- Happy to complete any required training
