Job Overview
As an Electrical Subcontractor working on the AFC Bournemouth Vitality Stadium redevelopment, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical installation works across a live construction environment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with BS 7671, project specifications and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of containment systems including conduit, tray, basket, trunking and cable ladder.
- Installation and termination of LV power, lighting and control wiring.
- Installation of small power, lighting, emergency lighting and distribution equipment.
- Installation of data and communication cabling where required.
- Installation of supplies to turnstiles, media facilities, offices and stadium infrastructure.
- Testing, inspection and commissioning of electrical installations as directed.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
- Working closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager and other trades to ensure works are delivered on schedule.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and ensuring work areas remain safe and organised.
- Identifying and reporting defects, design queries or site issues promptly.
- Completing daily site records, quality documentation and any required testing certification.
Requirements
- ECS Gold Card (Essential)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- IPAF and PASMA (Preferred)
- Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Health & Safety
All operatives are expected to:
- Comply with all site rules and induction requirements.
- Wear the required PPE at all times.
- Follow RAMS and permit-to-work procedures where applicable.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and safety throughout the project.
Expected Standard
Operatives are expected to represent both the principal contractor and subcontractor professionally, delivering work to a high standard while maintaining a positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethic throughout the duration of the AFC Bournemouth Vitality Stadium redevelopment.
Pay: £180.00-£280.00 per day
