We are looking for a passionate and experienced home Manager to lead our Supported Living service in Paignton.
Our Home Manager role is a hands-on and fast-paced role that requires a confident, experienced leader who isn’t afraid to get stuck in. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about support work, leads by example, and is committed to making a real difference in people’s day-to-day lives.
You will work alongside your staff team on shift whilst being part of a team of Home Managers, working together to support each other, share knowledge, and ensure strong, consistent management across the region. You will also take part in an on-call rota, providing support and guidance to staff outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily service operations and ensure high standards of care
- Lead, support, and develop staff teams
- Ensure safeguarding, compliance, and accurate record-keeping
- Work closely with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Manage rotas, attendance, and staffing resources
- Participate in on-call
Essential :
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory compliance
- Skills in leading, supporting, and developing staff teams.
- Excellent communication skills with families, professionals, and external agencies.
- Flexibility and passion for the role
- Confidence using IT for records, reporting, and communication.
Desirable:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs.
- Knowledge of PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) principles.
- Experience managing or supervising teams in a CQC-regulated environment.

Shifts
The types of shifts you will work are:
- 08:00 - 22:00
- 08:00 - 08:00 (including sleep)
- 08:00 - 16:00
- 16:00 - 22:00
- Waking Night (where applicable) 22:00 - 08:00
- Sleeps paid at £80.19 per sleep
- Shifts include weekends and Bank Holidays
Successful applicants are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure
This role will suit experienced support workers or managers who are passionate about helping people live independently and who thrive in a fast paced, challenging environment.
This role is unlikely to suit someone looking. for a 9-5 office based role or limited flexibility. This is a hands on role that requires passion, adaptability and a can do ethos.
