Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic in-person Maths and English tutor to support students in developing their academic skills. The successful candidate will deliver personalised tutoring sessions, fostering a positive learning environment to help students achieve their educational goals. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored Maths and English tutoring sessions to students of various ages and abilities.(primary -gcse)
- Assess individual student needs and develop customised lesson plans to address specific learning objectives.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Create a supportive and motivating environment that promotes confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
- Maintain organised records of student attendance, progress, and session outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to learning support.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, including those with special educational needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English at various levels.
- Experience working with children or young learners is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) support strategies is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Organised, reliable, and capable of creating engaging lesson plans tailored to individual students’ requirements.
- Passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
