Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes served
- Support the head chef in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and HACCP protocols
- Serve as a role model for team members, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development
- Assist in training new staff members and providing ongoing coaching to existing team members
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Solid understanding of food production processes and quality control measures
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
