About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and empathetic Housing Support Officer to join our team. This is a frontline role where you will work directly with residents, helping them navigate their housing needs, develop essential life skills, and progress toward greater independence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Helping clients set achievable goals and supporting them through each stage of their journey.
- Creating, updating, and reviewing support plans and risk assessments based on individual needs.
- Building strong, professional relationships through clear, respectful communication.
- Assisting clients with day‑to‑day living tasks when required.
- Completing routine checks of properties to ensure health, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Providing early support around rent issues, including budgeting advice and communication with landlords or housing providers.
- Responding to and reporting any anti‑social behaviour (ASB), ensuring safeguarding policies are followed.
- Coordinating with local services, agencies, and partners to offer well-rounded, holistic support.
- Keeping accurate records of all client interactions, progress, and key outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Confident verbal and written communication.
- Experience supporting refugees is helpful, though not essential — full training is provided.
- Ability to create person‑centred support or care plans.
- Basic IT skills for notes, emails, and case management.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Monday–Friday availability (no weekend or bank holiday shifts).
