My Client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Laser Cutting Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art laser cutting machinery to precisely cut sheet metal and other materials, ensuring high-quality outputs for various fabrication projects. Your expertise will contribute to efficient production workflows, maintaining safety standards and quality control throughout the process. Responsibilities
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including job cards and drawing checks
- Select and inspect materials according to job specifications and quality standards
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage
- Label all materials and job cards with correct GIN numbers
- Verify quantities and load cut parts accurately onto trolleys or pallets
- Carry out final inspections and stamp job cards to confirm quality
- Follow the “1st off” process, including stamping length, width, and thickness
What We’re Looking For
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
- Able to follow procedures accurately and consistently
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Physically fit and able to handle materials safely
- Knowledge of Lean / 5S principles is an advantage
Experience
- Prior experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar fabrication equipment is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal fabrication, grinding, welding, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with hand tools, tooling setups, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and handling techniques for various materials
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols diligently
- Experience with fabrication processes such as grinding, welding, or mechanical assembly is a plus
