Groundworker – Foundation GPS Gang / Internal & External Drainage
We are seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a foundation GPS gang on a busy housing project In Heritage Fields / Sittingbourne. This role is ideally suited to operatives with strong knowledge of foundations, internal & external drainage, and a clear understanding of NHBC standards.
Key Duties

Supporting foundation works, including footings, slabs, and substructure preparation

Carrying out internal & external drainage installation, including pipework, connections, and tie-ins

Working as part of a GPS-controlled gang to assist with accurate setting out and levels
-
Assisting with ground preparation, levelling, and site formation works
-
Laying and aligning drainage pipes to correct levels and falls
-
Working from drawings and site plans to maintain accuracy in line with GPS guidance
-
Ensuring all work complies with NHBC standards and site specifications
-
Operating dumpers as required to support groundwork and drainage activities
-
Working safely around plant, machinery, and other trades
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Requirements

Valid CSCS Card
-
CPCS/NPORS Dumper ticket (essential)

Proven experience working on foundations and groundwork projects
-
Good understanding of GPS machine control systems (desirable)

Strong knowledge of NHBC standards

Previous experience on housing or large-scale construction sites

Good awareness of health & safety practices

Reliable, hardworking, and proactive attitude

Experience working within a GPS-controlled gang

Additional plant tickets (excavator, roller, etc.)

Experience with footing and slab works
