About This Role
We are supporting a bright, sociable young adult with a fantastic sense of humour who is looking for caring and like-minded Healthcare Assistants to join his dedicated care team.
He enjoys college, sensory activities and spending time out and about at weekends, including trips to the park and cinema. He thrives on positive interaction and enjoys engaging with the people around him.
As a Healthcare Assistant working overnight, you will provide attentive, person-centred support throughout the night, helping to ensure he remains safe, comfortable and well supported. You will support with personal care, moving and handling, diabetes management and his wider clinical care needs as required.
Due to his complex care needs, you will need to be vigilant, reliable and responsive, with the ability to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in his needs throughout the night.
This is a rewarding opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with a young person while providing high-quality care that supports his health, wellbeing and independence.
Clinical Experience
Previous experience supporting individuals with complex clinical needs is essential.
The specific clinical competencies required for our client are:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation management
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
- Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
- Have previous, hands on, clinical experience
- Be comfortable working in a home environment with a pet dog and happy to work alongside pets.
