About This Role
We are supporting a young adult with a fantastic sense of humour, who is looking for like-minded individuals to join his care team. He is exceptionally bright, enjoys attending college, and thrives when engaging with those around him. As part of your role, you'll accompany him during his time at college, supporting him to make the most of his day while encouraging his independence and helping him continue doing the things he enjoys.
We are seeking Healthcare Assistants with a positive, engaging personality who can encourage and support him in working towards his goals. He enjoys sensory activities and spending his weekends out and about, including trips to the park and cinema.
In this role, you will provide both day and overnight care, remaining attentive to his needs at all times. Your responsibilities will include supporting with personal care, moving and handling, and managing his diabetes, along with managing his clinical needs as required.
Due to his complex care needs, you must remain vigilant, attentive, and responsive at all times to ensure his safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
Clinical Experience
Previous experience supporting individuals with complex clinical needs is essential.
The specific clinical competencies required for our client are:
- Tracheostomy and ventilation
- Cough assistant
- Peg feeding
- Oral suctioning
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
- Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
- Have previous, hands on, clinical experience
