Full Description:
As a Business Systems Executive Apprentice, you will work alongside our Business Systems Manager to learn how company technology and custom software power our daily operations. You will receive full training on low-code platforms and scripting while helping support and train internal system users.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn to design, scope and build digital workflows using low-code platforms (Zoho Creator)
- Assist with writing basic scripting/logic to automate tasks and build system workflows.
- Learn to build dashboards and visual reports to help management understand operational data (Zoho Analytics).
- Provide 1st line technical support to help colleagues troubleshoot everyday application issues/bugs.
- Assist with user testing, software updates, and user guides for new system rollouts.
- Help prepare and deliver onboarding/training materials for new staff using company systems.
- You will be learning and using SQL
Future Prospects:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is potential to progress into full-time, permanent Business System Executive or Developer role with scope ongoing technical advancement.
Training Provided:
Firebrand’s sector leading Software Developer (L4SD) Apprenticeship Programme develops apprentices to become competent software developers, working across the front-end, logic and data layers.
Apprentices develop a deeper understanding of key software development processes and practices allowing operation at all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
The apprentice will learn advanced programming skills, including object-oriented concepts, use of automated testing tools and secure development principles and practices in order to develop high-quality and secure software.

Completion of this apprenticeship will provide learners with the following world class vendor certifications in addition to the Software Developer apprenticeship:
BCS Level 4 Diploma in Software Development Methodologies
CertNexus Cyber Secure Coder
Industry recognised certification in one of Java, Python or C#
