About the Role
PCMS Cleaning Services Ltd is looking for a proactive and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at one of our client sites. This is a hands-on role where you will lead a team of cleaning operatives, ensure high standards of service delivery, and maintain excellent relationships with both clients and colleagues.
You will play a key role in ensuring cleaning services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and organise the day-to-day cleaning operation.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of cleaning operatives.
- Ensure cleaning standards consistently meet client expectations.
- Carry out regular checks to ensure equipment, materials, and machinery are safe and available for use.
- Maintain cleaning stores and cupboards in a clean, organised, and compliant manner.
- Monitor and promote health and safety standards across the site.
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for team members.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of cleaning staff.
- Ensure site documentation, including COSHH and RAMS, is up to date and understood by all operatives.
- Manage payroll information and other site-related administration within set deadlines.
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment faults.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing concerns and escalating issues where required.
- Respond promptly to helpdesk requests and service-related queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and contribute to contract growth.

Desirable
- Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role.
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Basic maths and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of COSHH, RAMS, and health and safety procedures within the cleaning industry.
