Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class C Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) to deliver Vehicles across designated routes
- Load and unload vehicles with care, ensuring vehicles are secure and undamaged during transit
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet schedule demands while optimizing fuel and time efficiency
- Verify delivery documentation, obtain signatures, and complete all necessary paperwork accurately
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers upon delivery
Skills
- Proven experience as a vehicle delivery driver or HGV driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations
- Familiarity with flatbed operations and securing loads for safe transportation
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and plan optimal routes efficiently
- Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and paperwork accurately
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
- Good communication skills for liaising with team members and customers effectively
