The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in structural steel fabrication and be fully competent in interpreting and working from detailed fabrication drawings without supervision.
Experience in both structural steelwork and architectural metalwork, including staircases, balustrades, platforms and bespoke steelwork, is essential.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Fabricator Welder.
- Time-served in structural steel fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings independently.
- Capable of fabricating work accurately without assistance or guidance from other workshop staff.
- Able to fabricate work efficiently and within expected production times while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Comfortable working to production targets and completing jobs in line with estimated fabrication hours.
- Competent in MIG welding and general fabrication techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.
This position is suited to a highly experienced fabricator who can be issued with fabrication drawings and materials and confidently manufacture projects from start to finish with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, produces a high standard of fabrication, and understands the importance of working efficiently to meet production schedules without compromising quality.
