Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Teacher to join our aquatic team in Ringwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons to learners of all ages and abilities. We offer lessons for babies, pre-school, learn to swim, SEN and adults. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your warm nature and excellent teaching skills within a supportive environment, helping individuals develop their swimming proficiency and confidence.
We have an onsight academy offering further development opportunities and a cafe for additional hours for the right candidate!
Duties
- Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to the needs of individual learners. Small groups and 1-2-1 lessons.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help learners improve their technique
- Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere to motivate learners of all ages
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Uphold organisational standards, including equipment maintenance and cleanliness of the pool area.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding learner progress (where applicable)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in swim teaching desired.
- Level 2 preferred but upskill from award level can be arranged.
- Baby and pre school advatageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners.
- Passion for teaching and promoting water safety
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings if required
- A friendly, professional attitude with a commitment to providing excellent customer service
