We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a specialist referral team, providing advanced nursing care to patients undergoing complex orthopaedic and neurological treatment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to develop their clinical knowledge and skills while working with more advanced cases in a supportive specialist environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing a high standard of nursing care throughout the patient's journey, from diagnosis through to anaesthesia, surgery and post-operative care.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing high quality nursing care to complex patients
- Supporting patients throughout their treatment journey
- Anaesthesia and surgical nursing
- Post-operative and inpatient care
- Monitoring patients and recognising changes in condition
- Working closely with vets and the wider nursing team
- Maintaining high standards of patient welfare
- Working effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
About You
We are looking for an RVN who is:
- Registered with the RCVS
- Passionate about delivering excellent patient care
- A strong team player
- Empathetic and professional
- Forward-thinking and keen to learn
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Interested in developing their knowledge of advanced nursing and referral cases
Previous referral experience would be advantageous, but applications from RVNs with a strong interest in developing their skills will also be considered.
Hours
This is a twilight position, ideal for someone looking to work later in the day without committing to full night shifts.
The preferred hours are:
Monday to Wednesday working 7pm – 1am
However, alternative working patterns and days may be considered for the right candidate.
