BeWILDerwood - Brockhole on Windermere — Guest Experience Team Member
We are on the lookout for enthusiastic, friendly and imaginative people to join our Experience team at BeWILDerwood Lake District!
You'll play a key role in creating a fun, magical and memorable experience for every visitor — welcoming families, interacting with our Explorers, supporting the smooth running of Minty Land, and bringing the world of BeWILDerwood to life. All set within the beautiful 30-acre grounds at Brockhole on Windermere.
We're looking for people who aren't afraid to be a little silly and use their personality to create memorable experiences. You don't need to be a professional performer — what matters most is that you're confident, warm, playful, and genuinely enjoy engaging with our visitors. Acting, drama, puppetry or experience with children is a big plus if you've got it, but enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in will take you just as far.
This is a genuinely varied role. One day you might be helping our Explorers play safely in Minty Land or welcoming visitors as they arrive; the next you could be roaming in character, running a story time, or hosting one of our birthday parties. Whatever the day looks like, our visitors are at the heart of everything we do.
A typical day might include:
- Welcoming visitors and helping the smooth running of Minty Land
- Roaming the grounds in character, greeting families and dropping in little moments of magic
- Running a scheduled story time or mini puppet show
- Leading simple crafts and activities with our Explorers
- Hosting birthday parties, making sure the birthday child and their guests get a truly magical celebration
- Helping with trails and quests around the site
- Supporting bigger events and busier holiday periods with the wider team
If you enjoy working with people, love the idea of making someone's day a little more magical, and are happy to get stuck in wherever needed — this role is for you.
What you'll need:
- To be at least 16 years old
- A DBS check (we'll help arrange this) — you'll be working closely with children and families
- Our busiest and most magical times tend to be weekends and school holidays, so availability then is especially welcome
- Bags of enthusiasm — everything else, we'll train you on
What you'll get:

- We are flexible with your availability — shifts could be mornings, afternoons, weekdays or weekends, just let us know what would be ideal to suit, and we will try our best to make that work
