1:1 Learning Support Tutor – Grade 2 / Year 3
Monday–Friday | 10:00am–2:00pm | In Person
We are looking for a experienced Learning Support Tutor to provide 1:1 support for a young boy who will be entering Grade 2 within the US school system (equivalent to UK Year 3).
The student is academically capable and is progressing well with his learning. He has ASD and would particularly benefit from support with the social aspects of the school day, including building relationships with peers, navigating social situations and developing confidence during break and lunchtime.
The Role
The tutor will work alongside the student during the school day, providing a reassuring and consistent presence while encouraging independence and helping him engage positively with school life.
Support will focus primarily on:
- Developing social confidence and interaction with peers
- Supporting the student during break and lunchtime
- Helping him navigate social situations and routines
- Encouraging independence and confidence within the school environment
- Providing additional academic support where required
- Working collaboratively with the school and family
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting Primary-aged children
- Has experience working with children with ASD/SEND
- Is patient, encouraging and able to build a strong rapport
- Can support social and emotional development while promoting independence
- Is reliable and able to commit to a consistent Monday–Friday schedule
Schedule
Days: Monday–Friday
Hours: 10:00am–2:00pm
Student: Grade 2 (UK Year 3 equivalent)
Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 per week
