Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic and compassionate Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our small, relaxed dental practice. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while managing front desk responsibilities. You will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator that ensures smooth daily operations, creating a welcoming environment for all patients. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and clear communication will be key to delivering outstanding service and supporting the clinical team. Team work is important to us, as is a positive personality. We pay for your GDC Registration, Training and Indemnity insurance.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from arrival through departure
- Assist dental practitioners during procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing equipment
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and patient records with precision using our IT systems
- Provide comprehensive patient care by explaining treatment plans, answering questions, and offering reassurance
- Handle front desk duties such as answering phone calls, managing inquiries, and processing payments
- Maintain strict hygiene standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and updating patient information accurately
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a caring and professional approach
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care and procedures
- Proficiency in IT systems for appointment management and record keeping
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and reliability

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
