About the Role
Portsmouth has strong connections to international trade, retail and distribution through its coastal location and access to major transport routes. At Najiba Jewellery and Luxury Retail, we design and supply distinctive jewellery products for customers, retail partners and online markets.
We are looking for an International Sales Manager who can take ownership of overseas sales development, distributor relationships and commercial growth across selected international markets. You will work closely with marketing, e commerce, merchandising, logistics and customer service teams to build sustainable revenue and strengthen the brand’s international presence.
This role is suited to an experienced sales professional who understands premium retail, account development and cross border commercial activity. You will identify new opportunities, negotiate agreements and support customers and partners throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- International Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans for priority international markets, customer groups and retail channels.
- Market Development: Identify new territories, distributors, retailers and commercial partners with strong growth potential.
- Account Management: Build long term relationships with international wholesale accounts, retail partners and key customers.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, order volumes, payment conditions and partnership agreements.
- Revenue Growth: Deliver agreed sales targets while protecting margins and maintaining sustainable account performance.
- Distributor Management: Support distributors with product information, sales materials, market planning and performance reviews.
- Product Presentation: Present jewellery collections, new product launches and seasonal ranges to prospective and existing partners.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports and market performance updates for management review.
- Commercial Coordination: Work with merchandising, finance and operations teams to confirm pricing, availability and order requirements.
- Logistics Support: Coordinate with logistics teams to support export documentation, shipment planning and delivery schedules.
- Customer Service: Ensure that international customers receive timely support regarding orders, products, delivery and account requirements.
- Market Research: Monitor competitor activity, customer preferences, pricing trends and emerging opportunities in target markets.
- Trade Events: Represent the company at relevant exhibitions, buying appointments, industry meetings and commercial events.
- Risk Management: Identify commercial, credit and delivery risks and recommend practical measures to protect the business.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: At least 6 years of experience in international sales, wholesale, luxury retail, jewellery, fashion or consumer products.
- Education: Bachelor degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline.
- International Sales Knowledge: Strong understanding of overseas account development, distributor management and cross border sales.
- Commercial Skills: Experience negotiating pricing, commercial terms, supply arrangements and partnership agreements.
- Retail Awareness: Understanding of premium retail, wholesale buying cycles, product positioning and customer expectations.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build professional relationships with distributors, retailers and commercial decision makers.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to review sales performance, market information and account profitability.
- Organisation: Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple territories and sales opportunities.
- Communication: Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to represent the company professionally.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, customer relationship management systems and sales reporting platforms.
- Travel Availability: Willingness to travel within the United Kingdom and internationally when required.
- Professional Approach: Strong commercial judgement, accountability and discretion when handling pricing and customer information.
Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
