We are a small, CQC registered care home dedicated to providing high-quality care and support young adults with propound learning & physical disabilities. We are currently seeking a motivated Deputy Manager to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Home Manager: Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
· Staff Management: Supervise and support staff, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and performing their roles effectively.
· Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs are met.
· Compliance: Ensure the care home complies with all CQC regulations and standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
· Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the quality of care and services provided.
· Resident Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with our residents and their families, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
· Demonstrate a consistently positive and proactive approach with a can-do attitude. Encourage team morale and support a culture of kindness and respect with a positive inclusive atmosphere.
· Health and Safety: Ensure the care home is a safe environment for residents and staff, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
· Budget Management: Assist in the management of the care home’s budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.
· On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rota to provide support and guidance outside of regular working hours.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in a similar role within a care home setting.
· Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and standards.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
· Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to residents.
· Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
Working Pattern:
· Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service which operate 24hrs a day 7 days a week. This role operates on a rota based -system including daytime hrs, working weekends and bank holidays when required. You will work as part of a management team including 2 Deputies, the core management hours are Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm (7.5 hours with flexible start/finish times). However Annual Leave cover and clinical hours will span the entire 24/7 roster and will be worked as required. It is estimated that approximately 50% of your role will involve Direct Care on the floor, with the remaining 50% being administrative duties as outlined in the Job Description.
