Job Role: Orders Administrator & Operational Support
Location: Black Liquorice Company Ltd - Vale Park, Evesham, WR11 1AE

Reports to: Head of Business Operations
Availability requirements: 20 to 24 hours available a week. We operate between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Set days, start and finish times would be agreed.
Job Type: Permanent. Working from the office.
Starting Date: From 1st September 2026.
Rate: £12.95

The Black Liquorice Company Ltd is composed of many parts. We import, manufacture and package liquorice, confectionery and gifting to sell to the trade and public. We design products and packaging in-house for BLC and our clients. We also co-pack and distribute products for our clients. Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Administrator to join our dedicated team at BLC. As an administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our business runs efficiently and with the highest quality standards. Your role will be split into two halves, part based in our on-site office, where you will work collaboratively on the administration for our trade and public orders, and providing operational support. You will also be based in our packing warehouse, fulfilling public orders. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining an organised work environment.
You may also be required to help pick and pack trade orders during peak seasons as a collective team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Public Orders Packing and Admin
- Maintaining our online order systems.
- Packing small orders into boxes.
- Creating shipping labels.
- Monitoring and updating stock levels on our online systems.
- Replenishing stock on shelves.
- Responding to customer queries.
- Notifying customers of products out of stock and processing refunds if needed.
- Trade Order Admin
- Receiving purchase orders and processing them on our system.
- Organising delivery.
- Creating shipping labels.
- Creating Delivery Notes.
- Updating stock levels on our systems.
- Responding to customer queries.
- Operational Support
- Updating company calendars/diaries.
- Creating office timesheets.
- Filling in payroll timesheets.
- Preparing documents for meetings.
- Organising employee files.
- Updating our new HR system.
- Preparing new starter documents.
- General Responsibilities
- Answering telephones.
- Monitoring multiple inboxes and actioning emails.
- Dealing with queries or passing on messages when needed.
- Working quickly and efficiently to meet targets while maintaining high quality.
- Monitoring inventory levels of materials and informing the supervisor when stock is low.
- Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Participating in training sessions as required to improve skills and knowledge of procedures.
- Identifying processes which can be improved and discussing constructively with the team.
Requirements:
- Education:
- GCSE level or above.
- Desirable Experience:
- Administrative experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Interest or experience in the food industry, particularly confectionery products, is a plus.
- Essential Skills:
- Proficient use of Google Sheets & Docs or Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Friendly telephone manner.
- High attention to detail.
- The ability to work efficiently and meet targets.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, whilst being friendly and approachable.
- Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and hygiene standards.
- The ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements:
- The ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes or packaging materials (occasionally up to 15kg, but normally much less).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
