Duties
- Conduct landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools for planting, digging, and general garden upkeep.
- Maintain irrigation systems, inspecting for faults and making necessary repairs to ensure proper water distribution.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators for larger landscaping or construction projects.
- Assist with construction tasks such as setting foundations, building structures, or installing features within outdoor spaces.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Support team members in various gardening, horticulture, and general maintenance activities as required.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery operation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools within a construction or horticultural context.
- Previous experience working with excavators or similar heavy equipment will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and practices related to plant care and garden design is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
