Job Summary:
Concretos del Norte Construction Materials Ltd is seeking a capable and results-focused Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Manchester, England. This role offers the opportunity to manage civil engineering and construction projects from initial planning through successful completion.
You will coordinate project teams, contractors, suppliers, budgets, schedules, and technical requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. What you'll do:
- Plan and manage civil engineering and construction projects from start to completion
- Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and delivery milestones
- Coordinate engineers, site teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and address delays, risks, and operational challenges
- Review drawings, specifications, technical documents, and project requirements
- Manage project costs, procurement activities, variations, and financial reporting
- Ensure work meets agreed quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Conduct project meetings and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders
- Support contract administration and maintain accurate project documentation
- Build productive relationships with clients, contractors, and business partners
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, quality, and commercial performance
- Support the successful handover and completion of each project
Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering, construction, project coordination, site management, or a related field
- Good understanding of construction or engineering project delivery
- Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple teams, suppliers, and project priorities
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and schedules
- Ability to review technical information and communicate it clearly
- Familiarity with health and safety requirements in a construction environment
- Civil engineering, construction management, or related education is preferred
- Project management qualifications are beneficial but not essential
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered
