We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate care team. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and nutrition, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained.
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to promote best practices in care delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and resident progress using IT systems designed for care management.
- Foster effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through companionship and engaging activities that promote independence.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and infection control procedures at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a care home or senior care setting with a strong understanding of elderly or vulnerable adult needs.
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership qualities and the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly and compassionately with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual requirements.
- Valid driving license preferred for supporting residents’ outings or appointments outside the care home.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping, reporting, and updating resident information efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 21.0 – 36.0 per week
