Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment
- Manage food production processes efficiently, maintaining consistency and timely service during busy hours
- Uphold strict food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serving operations and guest satisfaction
- Develop new menu items, recipes, and specials that excite guests while adhering to brand standards
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and control waste to optimize kitchen resources
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a culinary or restaurant setting with a strong background in food production and preparation
- Extensive kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques across diverse cuisines
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in high-pressure environments
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices within hospitality or restaurant operations
- Prior restaurant experience showcasing excellent service skills and an understanding of guest expectations
- Knowledge of food presentation, serving procedures, and maintaining cleanliness standards in a busy kitchen environment
